Stack handover

Stack handover lets a fresh install of Quartermaster take your whole service list from Companion, so you don't add services one by one. It uses the same setup transfer as the first time you paired.

This is useful for a new phone, a family member's iPad or a reset device.

In Companion

1. Sign in and open Set up.
2. Choose the services to include, and check each one's local address and away address.
3. Create the transfer. Companion shows a QR code and, separately, a setup code. You can also download the transfer as a .qmcompanion file.

In Quartermaster

1. Go to Settings → Connections & profiles → QM Companion and choose Add services from Companion.
2. Scan the QR code, or open the .qmcompanion file.
3. Enter the setup code. Quartermaster checks each service before it saves it.
4. Check each service's address before you finish.

The transfer expires after three minutes and works once. Importing is free. On the free plan one service is usable, and Pro unlocks the rest.
